We now ship using Continental Airlines and NorthWest.

PLEASE BE AWARE: All airports do NOT service the type of planes needed to ship live
animals. This means that even though the nearest airport to you may service Continental or NW passenger planes, it doesn't necessarily mean they can ship a puppy to that airport. You may have to drive a few hours to get to the nearest airport that does. I apologize for any
inconvenience that this may cause, but I also have to make a 5 hour round trip to the airport each time I ship.

Due to the increase in gas prices and the airline's increase in airfare, our charge for shipping has had to increase as well. Shipping for a puppy that is less than 5lbs at the time of shipment (usually a 12week old or less) is $300. Shipping for a puppy or adult over 6lbs is $350. This includes: Plane Ticket, Health Travel Certificate, and Shipping Crate. NOTE!!! The cost of shipping a heavier puppy/adult is higher due to Continental's weight limit charge and also the cost of a larger crate.

If you live in the Southeast US and would prefer to have your baby hand delivered to you, arrangements can be made for me to meet you for a reasonable price.

Mini Farm Kennels tries to have the best quality puppies available. Health and temperment are our number one goals. We also try to find the best homes for our babies. Please do not be offended if we ask a lot of questions. We only want to know that our babies and you and your lifestyle are going to click. It is for the benefit of both you and the puppy to make sure that everything will work out for the best. We take what we do very seriously and want to make sure our puppies are in a safe and loving forever home.

Puppies are handled from the moment they are born. I am with the mother throughout the labor and delivery. I try very hard to let nature take it's course and let the mother do what she instinctively knows to do. In saying that, I do find myself very involved in the whelping process and doing things for the mom before she has the chance (clearing the airways and severing the umbilical cord).
The puppies are kept in our living room so that I can keep my eyes on them at all times. They are wormed and vaccinated on schedule. When puppies are old enough to leave our home and go with their new parents, they are very socially stable. They have had many weeks of being held and loved by me and my family.

PLEASE READ:
Dachshunds can live up to 15-16 years. When you are deciding on getting a puppy, please keep this in mind. They are like raising children. If you have decided on one of my puppies, please be sure that you are in this for the long run. It takes a lot of time and effort to raise a puppy to an adult and beyond. Make sure this is the right thing for you to do. I do accept my babies back if it turns out that raising a puppy was not the wisest choice. Please allow me to take him/her back into my home before taking them to a shelter. I will do everything in my power to find another loving home or keep them here with me.

PAYMENTS:

A $100 deposit will hold the puppy of your choice if still available. This is a NON-Refundable deposit.

Once the deposit has been received, I will update the available puppies page with "sold" by your puppy. If you are picking up your puppy, final payment must be made in cash at the time of pick up. If you are having your puppy shipped, final payment must be made by the time the puppy turns 8 weeks old. Puppies will not be shipped until final payment has been cleared. All PayPal payments should have an additional 3% surcharge added. Please ADD this to your payment (If you want to put a $100 deposit down your payment should be $103.00).

Other forms of accepted payment are: US Postal Service Money Order and personal check (for deposit only). In order to make sure that your payment gets to me in a timely manner, it should be sent using an overnight or next day service such as FedEx, UPS or Express Mail.

NOTE!!! If deposit has not reached me within a reasonable amount of time after purchaser has told me that it has been sent, the puppy in question will go back up for sale.
